Well it’s been unofficial for a while now, but XiaoKe and I have decided to officially put Avengers, Roll Initiative on hiatus. We thought about it for a while, and we decided it was the best thing to do for now. We hope to continue it in the future, but we don’t know for sure when that will be. To be notified whenever we update again you can subscribe to the RSS feed, through Comicfury, or you can read my other comic, Primetimeless, where I&rsqul;ll be sure to announce any more strips to ARI. Any further updates to this site will either be a new strip in the main storyline, or an announcement of when we will continue.
We’ve really enjoyed making this comic and interacting with all of you. If you want to contact us or ask any questions, feel free to do so either through a private message or at our email criticallaughter@gmail.com
We hope to see you all again in the future, and thanks for reading!
Well, this was not entirely unexpected, but I still didn't think that ARI would get put on ice. Hope you guys resume the updates eventually, when you can.
In the meantime I guess it's up to me to provide the internet with an RPG screencap webcomic based on the MCU. Episode 4 was just released on my DeviantArt page, it's called Roleplayers Assemble and it begins directly with the Avengers. Hopefully my undoubtedly inferior knockoff of ARI will tie you over until ARI comes back in full force.

I wish Kidra and XiaoKe all the best in the meantime. This is the Jovian, signing off.
That was a long run. You don't mind a little critique, do you?
I think you shouldn't have tried to cover all the films. You took too muchon yourselves, and didn't even get to the first Avengers film. Which is sad.
Thor's chapter I enjoyed the most. It has both group dinamic and introduce Thor's player. The story is also the best.
I got what you trying to do with Hulk and Iron Man's chapter had good roleplaying stuffs. But I think solo sessions are not that good for campaign comics. Probably you could choose something better then the origin story for Iron Man, but I have hard time to judge it, because I didn't watch Irom Man movies.
It's a pity then you didn't do Captain America. I think it has much more potential. You could do a session when one of the characters die, and show how his player react to that. For example, if the player was sure that he had "perfect build" and mocked good Cap's build for bringing a shield in gunfight, showing contrast when the die fails him. (You know who I am talking about, so I don't need to say his name).
I can only guess what were you planning for actual Avengers Assemble. Too bad that there wasn't Hawkeye's movie, he is awesome. But if I was doing Avengers, I'd probably made him NPC, considering how he spent half of the movie under a mind control.
Anyway, good luck with whatever you are going to do from now on. And sorry for being a bit hard on you.
I haven't been around for quite some time because I've been swamped with tons of stuff. But I LOVE your comic and hope to see it continued some day. Best of luck with everything!
