Just in case you feel like giving the comic a little bit of extra support, Mindfold is now on Patreon

If you have a few minutes to spare, maybe try checking out Tusk, my other comic here on Comic Fury. It's in the fantasy genre, but it's a bit more light-hearted and silly than Mindfold. Tusk updates about every 10 days.

Natural thermal-imaging/infravision? Noice!

That's why their eyes look so different from human eyes. They are tuned to see wavelengths of light that are different from ours.

Some sexy humanoids. Is the blonde one wearing a wig? Been awhile since I read the barge part, for some reason I was thinking they were bald.

They all have bright golden hair. To a human, it would probably look kind of synthetic, but it's not.

Weird big place, gotta wonder who built it, or made it, or used to live in it. ★★★★★

Or what purpose it was used for...

It's cool how they look elegant and sexy and formidable all at once. Perfect fantasy beings.

Yes, they have the proportions of fashion illustrations, like those drawn by Thierry Mugler or Karl Lagerfeld xD

Sexy and hermaphroditic... something for all tastes, I'd imagine!

Their version of a visible light spectrum is shifted a lot more towards the infra-red than ours is. Apparently, they evolved on a planet that orbited a red star.

"Evolved" ... i'm leaning towards 'deliberately so' rather than 'naturally so'...
*really really* looking forward to more background lore on this setting. It's absolutely fascinating!

Someone or something has definitely been intervening in the natural order of evolution at some point in the history of this planet...

Question: do the Yanousk have two separate "heads", one on each side of the mouth? Or is their design based more on the manta rays and hammerhead sharks that can be found in Earth's oceans, with their eyes located a considerable distance from a central brain?

Those structures on either side of their mouths are eye-appendages. Each stalk has two eyes on the end, for seeing in two different wavelengths of light

Infrared? In the desert? Or is it a "cold" desert? Or is the structure somehow shielded?

So many intriguing questions! :D
DMC_Run 11th Apr 2024, 9:17 PM
Even Earth's deserts can be very cold at night...
...& she's seeing the heat of recent footprints in a shaded, cooler area.
Doesn't seem too far-fetched to me.

The interior of the structure is cool enough for the footprint heat to be discernible. The same would be true in the desert at night, but not during the day
