White Day is a survival horror game which is heavily reliant on its broken stealth mechanics. It's a fun game which I thoroughly enjoyed, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it on account of how annoying it is to avoid being detected by the patrolling janitor. Good atmosphere and story though.
Overall I found it very similar to Iru, but a lot LOT better.
Apparently a sequel is going to come out soon (talk about a coincidence), so I wonder how that one will play. Too bad I don't have a PS5 to play it. :(
As for an explanation for the comic, well I found a glitch where the janitor would disappear if you got yourself killed by The Girl with a Hidden Face (one of the homicidal ghosts in the school).
The result was that I began to see her as someone who was protecting me. And what can I say, I enjoy being coddled by cute girls.
