Schedule Switcheroo (now with update)

Schedule Switcheroo (now with update) published on No Comments on Schedule Switcheroo (now with update)

Ok, I have to admit (slight) defeat in that I have overestimated my ability to get comics done when my hands (and body overall) keep having joint issues. It’s like I can have a good day and get a little done, and then I pay for it over the next few days. Right now I am aiming for a Saturday update with the next page. What I think I need at this point is a pair of compression gloves, but like most things that’s not covered for me by insurance and I don’t quite have the space in my budget to get some. If you feel like chipping in towards my apparently never ending need for medical stuff, my ko-fi is always open.

Meanwhile, here’s a page I don’t think I’ve shared here before. This short summary comic was a single-page preview printed in the con book for PIX 2017. I was hoping to give a sense of the overall story and attract some new readers. I have no idea if it worked!

update 5/11:

Hey Chio Crew, just a small update. I hate having to delay the next update again but I am still having problems with my hands. I am ordering a pair of compression gloves to try and help with the issues I’ve been having. Fingers crossed (ha ha) that it works. It is so frustrating to have the desire and drive to make pages and then be set back by stuff that’s kind of out of my control.

In the meantime: would you like to see more continued fiction from Delade in the Follower-verse? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for your patience. This has been more of a process to figure out than I expected but one way or another I’m going to get there.

Web housekeeping and general updates

Web housekeeping and general updates published on No Comments on Web housekeeping and general updates

Hey Chio Crew! You may have noticed the last few updates have been changed and their comments removed; if yours was removed, I apologize. I was doing some reorganizing to make sure the archive was still showing things in order, and to convert those pages to be part of the “main” archive they had to be “detached” from the Disqus comments generated for those pages, which I recognize is confusing; I was so confused I goofed it all up. There might be a way to fix it, but in the meantime, please don’t think you’re unwelcome to comment or something. It was totally an accident on my part and I’m going to try and restore it if I can. 😵‍💫

I’m working on the next update now that I’ve acquired some compression gloves for my hands. Doing my best!

And stuff I need to mention as usual…

If you’d like to help us keep making comics, you can join the Chio Clubsubscribe to the comic on Tapassubscribe on Webtoons, or follow us on Youtube or TikTok! Sharing the comic with your friends is also a huge help to us – the best way of spreading webcomics around is usually word of mouth, and we’d very much appreciate it!

I am currently working on adding more pages to mirrors on GlobalComix and possibly more in the future, so if you use other comics sites and apps, look forward to it!

Hands on fire

Old doodle but… I have nothing else to post here yet.

So this isn’t the post I wanted to make, but I am struggling a lot harder to get the next page done than I anticipated. My hands are really inflamed and nothing I do is helping, so I think at this point I have to delay this update by at least a couple more days. I am anticipating (but not going to promise) updating this Saturday, but I’ll know better after I give my hands a day or two to calm down. After I get this next page done, I’m planning on taking about two weeks off from posting in order to work more slowly. I think I’ve got some older unposted art stashed away, so I’m going to try and post something in that time, I’m just not sure what it’ll be. The next page, in its partly-finished state, is up for Chio Club folks right now.

Thanks again for your patience. It’s been a little rough lately and I’m doing my best, but sometimes I just have to call it like it is and take a break before I actually hurt myself.

I'm decreasing my reliance on social media. Sign up for comic emails!
